Early yields from dwarf x tall coconuts experiment

Abstract

In Papua New Guinea, hybrid coconuts have been commercially distributed by the Hybrid Coconut Project for the past 5 years. The earliest ones planted are now bearing their first nuts. The type being sold in Papua New Guinea is a cross between a dwarf type called the Malayan Red Dwarf and a tall coconut from the Solomon Islands called the Rennell Island Tall.
