Insects turn waste into stockfeed and fertiliser

Abstract

NARI research officers are working on Black Soldier Fly larvae production systems to turn organic farm and kitchen waste into feed suitable for fish, pigs and poultry with residue used as a soil amendment or fertiliser.  This will have economic, environmental and societal benefits.
