The Logrunner, Orthonyx temminckii (Orthonychidae), at Tari Gap, Southern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea

Abstract

To date the Logrunner has been considered to have a discontinuous distribution on New Guinea. The authors carried out a mist-netting study in Sep-Oct 1986 at six sites near Tari Gap. No Logrunners were seen or heard apart from two caught in the nets.
