Observations of birds feeding in a fruiting Planchonella

Abstract

Several species are reported to be feeding in a Planchonella tree near Ambua Lodge, Tari, Southern Highlands in October 1987. They included Blue Bird-of-Paradise (Paradisea rudolphi), Short-tailed Paradigalla (Paradigalla brevicauda), Buff-faced Scrub Wrens (Sericornis perspicillatus) and White-breasted Fruit Dove (Ptilinopus rivoli).
