New distribution records - Lihir Island

Abstract

A visit to Lihir Island, New Ireland in January and February 1991 found 3 species not recorded there before: Gurney's Eagle (Aquila gurneyi), White-throated Needletail (Hirundapus caudacuta) and Red-rumped Swallow (Hirundo daurica).
