Maned Duck (Australian Wood Duck) Chenonetta jubata near Port Moresby: The first record for the New Guinea region

Abstract

A single Maned Duck (Chenonetta jubata) was seen in a flooded paddock alongside Sogeri Road, Central Province. The bird remained at this site for several months and was seen by many observers. It is the first New Guinea region record.
