Birds recorded in the Kau Wildlife Area at Baitabag and the adjacent coastal strip, Madang Province, May - November 1996

Abstract

The Kau Wildlife Area is 500 ha of primary and re-growth lowland rainforest that has been protected  from any major interference by its traditional owners since the mid 1960s. An annotated list of birds seen there and nearby during insect surveys in May - November 1996 is presented.
