Abstract

The Papuan Hawk-Owl (Uroglaux dimorpha) is one of the least known New Guinea birds, with few records from widely scattered lowland sites, and the call undescribed. This article reports heard and/or seen birds at Karawari Lodge, West Sepik in July 2002, 2004 and August 2006 and at Ekame Lodge, Elevala River north of Kiunga in May 2005 and April 2007.
