Abstract

Most insect pests can be controlled only partially, or not at all, by parasites, and in these cases, artificial methods must be used. These may be roughly classified under two heads, preventive and curative, though there is a good deal of overlapping. The former are of course to be preferred to the latter, other things being equal.
