Insect pests of rice.

Abstract

Although the cultivation of rice has not so far developed into an important agricultural industry in this Territory, small areas have been planted in several parts, and areas in the Rabaul-Kokopo and Talasea districts have been kept under observation by the Entomologist and other officers of the Department of Agriculture. The principal insects associated with rice crops are described.
