The value of cowpeas (Vigna catiang) as a green manure and cover crop is nt fully realized by planters in this Territory, where a quick-growing plant is required to cover the soil, and so prevent the growth of weeds, grass, etc., and at the same time to provide a large bulk of nitrogenous material which is valuable as green manure.
