Abstract

Comprehensive fertilizer trials, involving all plant nutrient elements, were laid down on plantation coconuts in November, 1955. Up to June, 1958, a trial on red-brown clay-loam had given no response to any element. A trial on yellow-brown clay loam gave a response to potassium only, but not at an economic level. Further trials, with different rates and methods of application of potassium, are being commenced.
