The author, until recently District Agricultural Officer at Samurai, in this paper describes the cultivation of robusta coffee as a guide to European planters. Air. Cole points out the firm nature of the market for robusta which exists in Australia, then outlines the procedures for establishing the plantation, including clearing, establishment of shade, nursery practice, transplanting and maintenance. He stresses the need for care in processing the coffee and emphasizes that faulty processing may spoil a high-grade bean.
