Report on a study of the Kuriva Subdivision, Central District, 1970-72.

Abstract

The results of two field surveys and air photo interpretation of the Kuriva Subdivision, Central District, show that clearing and planting of food crops is proceeding at a satisfactory rate. The initial slowness in establishing settlers on the blocks could have been avoided by greater inter-departmental and inter-agency collaboration, and by more imaginative methods of team-clearing in the early stages.
