Abstract

In Papua New Guinea rural development is a much discussed topic. Agriculturalists are naturally deeply involved in rural development problems, but in the past they have tended to concentrate on the technical aspects of agriculture at the expense of human factors. To overcome the deficiency, agricultural training in Papua New Guinea now includes an increasing Social Science content.
